怪物 Oh, you're cold as ice, baby But when you're nice, baby It's so amazing in every way TAG @brayden WORDS: 449 NOTES: Sable's just gonna adopt him. | "Escape. Do not. Want" Poor thing. Something led him to the point of abandoning his own kind. Well, she couldn't necessarily blame him if the others where anything like she had heard about in various tales. Lizalfos were classified monsters. Egregious, barbaric, and predatory in nature. This one, however, seemed to be an exception. She studied him for scars, stories written on the skin, or in his case scales. He had seen many battles, but that was to be expected. Knowing the reputation of his kind, she imagined most of his encounters with others defaulted to a defensive and aggressive nature. "I'm sorry to hear that..." Her eyes wilted at him with empathy but burned with genuine care and curiosity. She could only imagine the loneliness he felt. The thought of it gripped at her chest. Grabbing the hems of the make-shift blanket around her shoulders, she slowly yet gracefully rose from her pallet of pelts and cautiously stepped toward the lizalfos, more so as not to frighten him than because she was frightened. At this point, Sable's foolishness had drowned her fear with tenderness and left her with only the desire to heal her savior. Kneeling slowly infront of Braydon, her posture poise and upright as she had been taught, she took the fur pelt from around her shoulders and wrapped it around his. Every movement was slow and safely reassuring as not to alarm him. She maintained eye contact, allowing the windows of her soul to amplify her good-will. "You need this more than I do." Her voice was low and warm, tinged with a bit of raspiness. Emerald pools examined his face. From his snout to the pattern of his scales and his slitted pupils, she took it all in but never registered these traits as that of a monster. That's not what he was, she could sense. His unexpected docile demeanor continued to mystify and excite her. She couldn't help but softly smile at him. "I'm Sable." Realizing her close proximity might discomfort him, she stood and went to acquire a drink from the hot pot of water that he had provided. "That was very brave of you out there." Sable said referring to his heroism hours before. "I shouldn't have been out there alone, but I'm afraid I allow my idealism to get the best of me sometimes.." She took a sip as she sat back down, this time a little closer to the fire. "I wanted to see the light ribbon." Her gaze turned to look out of the grotto with a hint of disappointment . The blizzard had stopped, but a light dusting of snow was a sure sign of overcast skies. |
