Shapes and stories, hmm... then perhaps she was right on that count? Well... in some way. Not that it terribly mattered, Letia supposed; she was, after all, here to get away from work and just relax and have a bit of fun in an unfamiliar place, an unfamiliar festival.

Then of course... there was that, her partner seeming, quite unsurprisingly, just as confused on the matter. Plenty of people sliding around with no apparent difficulty, a few falls here or there. It was... strange, that much was certain. And it certainly hadn't been like this the last time she'd been to the city... though that also hadn't been the cold season.

"We're already here, so it would be something of a waste to not at least try it for ourselves while the festival is still going, wouldn't it?" the Rito agreed, giving a small nod. Then... a bit at a time, curiously stepping out with her taloned feet. A careful step or two, before she tried to at least slide on them, even just a little... just to be awarded with a light slip onto her rear, a small bout of laughter escaping her in spite of it.

"It would seem... we may have to practice this, at least a little," she suggested, putting on a little grin and carefully lifting herself back up to her feet. "But it shouldn't be too terribly difficult, right?"

Klara

"Ah, perhaps so... I still don't understand it much myself," Letia hummed. Though even if she did... her feet alone were a far cry from something like a Hylian's. Even if she were to try and copy what she saw, it would no doubt turn out differently for her.

"I wonder, then, perhaps..." she muttered. A bit better -- or at least, not so off-balance -- with her next attempt of sliding a little on her talons... albeit which weren't much made for such a thing. To merely give up on it, though, would have been rather against her nature. "Well... but I suppose what I'm thinking still doesn't much help you, different as our feet are. Though... in dance, we tend to use a smaller point to balance on rather than simply our full feet, right? I may be able to... use a bit of earth magic to give you that, at least as a test," she offered. It was just a simple, tiny bit of earth just below the toe area, granted, and she hadn't a clue if it would do much, but... looking closer, at least a few people seemed to have something different upon their feet.

"If you aren't to enjoy it, though, I... may not necessarily complain about moving on elsewhere, perhaps even to that little factory? This is, ah... a rather confusing Hylian thing indeed," she suggested, with a little giggle in spite of it as she herself caught her balance again from another attempt, that was going at least a little better.

Klara

Ah... she'd slipped up slightly with her words, had she? Well, no matter; it was a thing easily rectified. And it wasn't as though she herself didn't have the skills to produce a few more things.

"Well, not exactly in the middle... but I suppose I had called it 'workshop' or something else before, had I?" Letia offered with a somewhat embarrassed little grin. "Ah... but then I do have a few small ideas, and for something like 'starlight', then maybe..." she hummed to herself, before snapping back to reality and offering a hand back out to Klara.

"I did say I'd show you anyway, so shall we go? It's over at the edge of the city," she suggested. Though there would not in fact be much to the fairly plain-looking, though large-doored, building. Something relatively akin to a lightweight, metal boat, but with wings; a few odd contraptions by one wall. What appeared to be a small forge, and a fair few scraps and papers scattered around besides. It was messy, to be certain, but she was... not a conventionally organized person.

Klara

"My little workshop here... of a sort," Letia replied with a little grin. "Ah... though it is not, admittedly, where I do most of my work, but I do occasionally get away down here and tinker with a few things I have access to," she admitted, giving a small shrug all the same. Though she couldn't much blame lack of coming here much on the mess... that was on her alone.

"Then, shall we..." she trailed off, giving a small snap of a few fire-tipped fingers. Like that, her little forge snapped to life... as well as a bit of steady whirring and movement from one of the discarded engines to the side. Something that had become really quite comforting to the Rito, in a certain sense, though she could say that of most of her work in general.

"You are free to look around as much as you wish, including the skyship itself," she offered with a friendly grin, giving a small tilt of her head toward the ship in question, non-functioning though this one presently was. "I need to..." she trailed off with a little hum, glancing a bit around the place. "There is... a small box I'd left around here, with some specialized stones and jellies... I don't suppose you could help me find it for now...? There was a small thing I was thinking I would make, for the occasion..."

Klara

"Well... rather plain, really. Just a regular tan box, of which there should be none in here besides," Letia offered. Well, unless someone else had somehow come at some point... though that would be a problem all its own, and it was locked and well enough out of the way that it shouldn't have been. Even less so since the time someone else had slipped in while she herself had been there.

"Moving parts... well, in a sense," she offered to the latter point. "That is, fire and wind are really quite easy to get things moving, I've found, so I've had to test things that can easily be set alight and still preserve themselves long enough to be worth it. Even the jelly can actually be surprisingly easy to burn for such a purpose!" she added with a little grin. Well, it wasn't what she was intending to make now... but she at least needed the stones for what she was going to make for the occasion.

Which, ultimately, was just sitting up on the seat of the ship, slightly elevated though the ship was besides a stepstool to help get into it. Somewhere that was supposed to be easy for her to find and retrieve.

"Mm... well... it shouldn't be too out of the way, but I suppose I can start on something, if you might be able to keep looking?" she offered, grabbing a few metal scraps before moving over to her little forge. At the least, she could start with her magic alone, slowly forming the lightweight metal into tiny chain links.

Klara

"Mm? I am, yes," Letia affirmed with a little grin and nod, momentarily glancing around a little. No box yet, at least it appeared... well, it would turn up before long, probably. It had to still be somewhere, after all. Still, the chains themselves were fairly small, never minding the otherwise lightweight metal she'd been using that she had gained access to through some other connections that she'd come to have.

"While I am no jeweler or anything of the sort, I did have the thought to just... make something minor for the occasion, since some Din magic is really quite good for shaping small bits of metal, and the stones have a rather... I suppose you could say, fun property when introduced to a bit of magic, that I've found through all my experimenting," she further explained, grabbing some tongs in the meanwhile to take the first, small chain off the forge and to a surface to cool once it was shaped.

With that settled for now, she shifted back a little for a quick beat of her wings -- something she might've warned about, but there were, at least, only a few pieces of paper in the immediate area to get blown around slightly. "Ah! That was..." she hummed, a slight embarrassed look as she reached up to grab the box, once the somewhat higher perspective had allowed her to spot it easily enough. "W-well, now that I've found where I left them... a moment, then," she offered. Back to the forge, then, with a few of the tiny stones and a bit of jelly... and a bit of somewhat careful blaze that appeared to smooth out the stones quite a bit, never minding something of a light glow, at least while the magic was active.

"Not bad for a little trinket, right?" she suggested, before something seemed to occur to her. "Ah... but I suppose I should ask if there's anything in particular you might prefer for them, should I? Necklace or bracelet are likely the best I can manage..."

Klara

"Hmm... I could do that, could I...?" Letia mused, glancing over to the finished chain thus far. A bit thinner indeed, even if they were fairly thin already, so that it might be viewed properly... hmm.

"Ah, this? Like most things, I'd learned a bit through apprenticeships and helping out at all sorts of places back home, then just... experimenting with things and seeing what worked, especially as I became better with my fire magic," she replied to that point with a little grin. "I guess I'm just... the type of person who doesn't like to stop when something's caught her mind, especially if it means doing a lot of things that other folks haven't figured out just yet," she added, humming lightly to herself in the meanwhile as she took a few more stones and jelly. One... well, cracked under the magic. Not something of a sort that she was terribly unused to, really. Another, then, a bit easier, letting the blaze linger around it for a bit longer... ah. A softer glow, seemingly transparent in coming from the center.

"Ah... there. Much like a star in a small piece of the night sky, hm? Or well, so I think," she suggested, holding it up for Klara to more easily see. With that, then, she went to grab the chain again, letting it hang down for some of the metal to slowly, carefully form a small 'cage' of a sort, just as had been suggested, around it. Nice and carefully, then... before it, at least, seemed settled, likely thanks in no small part to the general durability of the metal. "That... should do, I think. I suppose... maybe something of a necklace...?" she mused, glancing over the chain's length. Would it fit...? She wasn't totally certain, but she could... come up with something if needed.
