"I would not be here now were you not allowed to rely on me, would I? I have, after all, been working on dragging you out so you could leave things to others a bit more," Revyn assured.
That last matter, though... well, perhaps that was a little much. Perhaps he was just speaking from a bit of experience. Or... well, no matter. He'd said what he said, one way or another.
"Simple departures, though, needn't be permanent. Whatever their reasons, wherever they've gone, there is always the opportunity to find them again, one way or another," he mused. "If that is what you truly wish to do, I'm certain there are those that would support you. Or... if, on the other hand, you would build a much better home for them to return to, that is also something others can, and should, support you with. It is not something to be done alone... and it is also your choice, though I know precisely how you might respond to a statement like that by now," he suggested.
She would, no doubt, say it wasn't her choice, it was simply her responsibility. She would take up that burden without a thought or a care.
'Centuries' to keep up, indeed...
"Well, but since you're oh so curious, my own family, blood-related as they are, are not something I have heard from for quite some time. As might come as little surprise to you, the one that left was me, though I cannot say we were ever terribly close besides, nor had any real responsibilities to speak of. But likely enough, I was always expected to run off somewhere anyway," he idly hummed. "It is not something I terribly miss, in all truth, but who knows; perhaps they'll feel like coming across me someday," he suggested with a little chuckle.
"So, while I cannot relate to being reliant on those blood relations... I can do what I am able while here, start putting all my knowledge to some use. I shall get you to be able to look forward at what you can do, rather than to what could have been, one of these days, make no mistake of that," he suggested in turn. And, with that, flicked his tails up a little to, in some part, wrap a little around her; shifted his head up to brush slightly against her cheek. "I trust you believe someone like me on that much...?"
