Something Curious (Praxis)

"Ah, haven't you? That's good, then," Revyn offered with a slight chuckle. Further confirmation -- or so it seemed -- that there were no other keatons around that might get in the way of his own, personal, undoubtedly selfish goals. To be able to write his own stories without outside influence, to be perfectly unique... but well, he digressed.

The other figure's words, then... those, as well, confirmed something very much of interest to the keaton. Though his expression didn't actively change, a slight flick of his ears was enough to show interest. Not so much that he declined to pay attention to their own questions, certainly.

"Year 02... or so they say. Something about a large incident, or a new reign... well, some standard, needlessly complex Hylian fare, I suppose. Or was I meant to be surprised that someone would not even be clued into the current date?" he suggested, his smirk widening just slightly. Most 'regular' people might, he could only imagine... but for him, who'd observed ages gone by, it was nothing terribly interesting. "Besides that, the royal family by the name of 'Hyrule' -- whether they've actually been around long enough to have started with the name, or just decided to pridefully adopt it, I've not been able to tell just yet -- are the ones mainly in charge, though I suppose the Gorons, Zora, and others have their own leaders besides," he mused in turn.

"As for myself, then... you may call me Revyn, though I can't say I've not gone through a fair few names in the past, over in Termina. I might ask if any ring a bell, so to speak, but then I wonder if you lot ever talk to each other much. I never had gotten a clear answer on that before either," the keaton introduced himself, in spite of his other musings. Most particularly, on exactly what his present companion was.

"Rather than that, I wasn't aware there was a way to leave those spots you lot are practically assigned to... oh, but perhaps you might also find it odd that little old me has a good idea precisely what he's talking to?"

Praxis

'Too many', indeed... well, kind of. Honestly, how much those far more short-live creatures multiplied was rather outside Revyn's concern, barring of course any of his hiding spots going away. After all, he was a creature that lived quite outside their norms... though he got himself involved with them, one way or another, in a great many ways.

Even if he'd come here, in some part, to stop doing that... but old, old habits died hard.

"Well, I can't much argue with that," Revyn agreed to that point, a curious glance granted to the outstretched hand, seemingly musing on just what he wanted to do about it. Exhaling a slight, thoughtful hum, he gave a small motion that might well have been something of a shrug -- if his shape really allowed that -- before casually stepping forward to nudge his head slightly into Praxis's hand. When the next question came, though, a little chuckle escaping him, that smirk ever lingering especially as his head tilted slightly to the side.

"My, now isn't it a little unfair to ask more of me when you haven't yet introduced yourself?" he teasingly suggested, only for his tails to give a small, idle flick behind him. "But, to your question all the same... some sort of wandering spirit, perhaps; not a Poe, that is, but something more, well... tasteful, shall we say," he suggested in seeming thought, though his expression might well have given away that he wasn't serious about it. "Or a prisoner, as you say, granted quite the long life by magical means all in the pursuit of greater magic, whether they wanted to or not. Ah, or a creature from beyond the skies; an envoy of the Goddesses, come to save Hyrule from disaster!" he almost excitedly suggested... though even that much was, probably obviously, a bit of casual storytelling. Something that would hardly be unexpected from those that knew him.

"Or... were I to be more serious, a fairy. A great fairy, in fact, much like my best friend for a time back in Termina," he suggested fairly more pointedly; just as he said, hardly one to be unfamiliar with such things.

Praxis

Ah, he had to ask, did he? But then, everyone so long-lived had their certain quirks; himself very much included. He'd just have to make some note of it, for the future.

Either way, it certainly didn't serve to remove the smirk from Revyn's features. That, or the vague assurance that he was correct... one way or another.

"To begin, then... her name was Sarah, one of Termina's own great fairies. A rather simple name for one, perhaps, but given how many names I have adopted over all my years, well, I'm not much in a place to question it," he offered on that point, giving a slight chuckle. "As to myself, then... well, any number of reasons. Boredom, since I'd come to know every inch of Termina, every single secret it had to offer. And, perhaps... a bit of a need for something new. Whether they knew it or not, that place had seen no small amount of benefit from my existence... and with my luck, likely this land will as well, given that I came at a time when there is a fair bit going on to deal with monsters and the like," he mused. Well, and he'd gotten himself rather directly involved with the royal family itself... but he didn't have to give that much away just yet.

"As to yourself, then... if I am to require direct questions to get answers, then what, may I ask, brings you outside the fountain? As I said, I wasn't exactly made aware that that was possible, much less practical."

Praxis

Did they not know? Hmm... well, it was no matter. Revyn hadn't really expected it anyway; not when he himself, often enough, had been Sarah's source of information for the outside world. Besides, it was meant to be a new beginning for him; it wouldn't really do if anyone knew too much about him right from the outset.

Still... there was the great fairy themself, then. A life of secrecy and solitude, as it were; though not exactly one of their choice. With that statement, then, a little chuckle escaped the keaton, before a slight hum and thoughtful little tilt of his head. There were any number of places, really... but sometimes, it wasn't so bad to pick the obvious choice.

"Well... I really might recommend seeing the 'big city', as it were, sometime. Hyrule City, that is; that and the castle both have plenty of sights to see," he suggested. Never mind that visitors weren't always welcome in the castle... and he was something of a special exception, due to fortunate circumstance.

Not that it would've stopped him from entering the castle regardless, if he'd felt like it... though it did otherwise lighten his load by being a place he could keep a white wolfos cub behind.

"But that, perhaps... can be for a later time. Rather closer than that is Ordon Village. Nice, small, and peaceful; not, perhaps, a whole lot to see, but it could be good to have a short trip to see something that, I imagine, will be really quite new for you, shouldn't it?" he suggested, his gaze drifting off for a moment or two in that direction, before returning to Praxis.

"Ah, and... I might recommend a look up to the sky sometime as well. The 'Sky Province', as I hear it colloquially called, though few besides the Rito have actually been up there," he mused in turn. Something that... bothered him a little, but what he'd been hearing suggested that wouldn't be the case for too much longer.

Praxis

"You do indeed; there's no bridges or anything of that manner, so no real way up right now besides the Rito's own wings. Though I hear tell that that's due to change, given some more time. It really is interesting what folks can come up with, when they have so much shorter of a time to live... but I've yet to actually see the thing myself. All in time, though," he hummed.

Well, he'd get there, one way or another. Even if it took time to do it, he especially had plenty of it left.

"Me, hmm? Here and there, wherever I can find a nice little hiding spot to nap," he suggested with a little chuckle. "But, perhaps more commonly... I've made a little place for myself around the castle itself. Rather a change from anything Termina has to offer, I must admit... though I don't believe all of the folks there in the castle are terribly fond of little old me," he suggested with a little smirk. Not, certainly, when he left them with that quickly-growing cub of his whenever he felt like... as troublesome as that one alone could be. Nor, indeed, for many of his own habits.

"For now, though, off to the village, hmm? It shouldn't be terribly long of a walk from here," he suggested in turn, starting to casually lead the way in that direction.

Praxis

'Eventually', indeed... perhaps he himself might even have to look into it a little more. Supposedly there was some place around Hyrule City itself... though he fully expected much of this work he'd been hearing about to be up in the Sky Province itself. Something he wasn't too pleased about, but there was nothing that could be done about it, yet.

"Do you, then? No doubt you can easily enough make the opportunity, once you decide to head off in that direction. Though don't forget to also see what the city itself has to offer, of course!" Revyn suggested with a little chuckle. For now, though... while it certainly wasn't a city, Ordon Village on its own had occasionally served as a peaceful spot for the keaton himself to wander off to. Still a few things to do and see, and a good deal more farmland than Hyrule City; all told, it was nice to have a little change, for as relatively few settlements as there were across Hyrule.

Content to leave it at that for now while he led his and Praxis's way onward, it wasn't terribly long before his ears flicked a little, a small hum escaping him. "Ah, here we are, just about; just a path between the hills left to go, and the local village will be right there, to be graced by a pair of beings likely older than all of them put together," Revyn suggested with a little smirk. "Perhaps we might start at a small diner? I've never much had a clear answer whether any of you needed to eat," he suggested -- not that he was one to talk, for as few clear answers as he tended to give, "but it's likely been a while all the same since you've had something freshly prepared and cooked, hmm?"
