Anastasia felt a little less flustered, now that the flirting pressure was gone, but their shoulders immediately picked back up and they let out a huff at Josh's next joke. "Your humor knows no bounds." They sighed out into the back of their hand, holding back the laugh that wanted to come out. Ana was far from a tight-wad, but being forced to maintain a professional air had... pushed some walls up. That time spent doing what they had to do for the Zora... hopefully princess Rularu would earn the love and keep of the Zora.

But either way anything went, Josh slowly tore down the professional walls that Ana had subconsciously been keeping up, especially as they moved about the public eye. "This... has been my only way away from it all. Not many people think to come here. I don't blame them. It's full of reminders of what happened, and not everyone is meant to see things that are broken as something that can be repaired."

Anastasia moved to where they could sit comfortably on the outcropping, looking out over the domain. "Not every Zora, Hylian, Goron, Rito or whatever race you are, are meant to withstand what comes with war. Like I'm not meant to be a centerpiece or foundation in these things. I went a very long time alone and outcast. Being suddenly thrust into the thick of things was... jarring, to say the least. I had Zora relying on me in a way I've never been relied on before. I still do now, just... not as different."

They were bullied in the past, relentlessly. Anastasia was a shy, easy to scare Zora that struggled with severe identity crisis on top of everything that suddenly happened when they became the royal librarian under Tyrant Nex. "Sorry for the sudden change of subject. I'm afraid I don't get much time to think of it as much as I'd like to." It showed that Anastasia was also going through their own process, trying to cope with the sudden changes they've gone through.

Anastasia almost snorted at the 'it just happens' from Josh. "That's very far from the last thing I would say it just happens about." They shuffled how they were sitting and took another breath, rubbing their chest idly. "It's just so exhausting, being around people so much, that is." They were an introvert afterall, and nothing sapped their energy more than constantly being around people.

Quietly, Anastasia looked at where he had mentioned he went splat, wincing some at the imprint. "It's an actual miracle you survived that, Josh." Anastasia had seen and stitched alot of wounds and seen a lot of ridiculous things, and some of the shit Josh did just added to it.

Oh well, comes with the territory of being his friend, they supposed. "Here's to people who existed out of the way suddenly becoming front and center."

Anastasia didn't want to think about it anymore, abandoned, adopted and abandoned again into a community that did nothing but laugh and ridicule them, growing up with insurmountable insecurities, they're surprised they made it this far. Maybe they were always a tenacious Zora, deep down.

With a nod though Ana went back to overlooking the domain, seeming to be thinking on something yet again. They had a mind that never stopped, afterall. It's how they got things done. "It's been nice, having someone to talk to that isn't a gossiper." Ana, despite what they did, still had very little real friends. Aside from Rici, who was still missing and... well, likely dead, Josh was their only actual trusted friend.

It was very hard for the Zora to hand out trust.

Anastasia looked over the domain, and remained silent for a while after Josh's knight statement. No words needed to be spoken. Hyrule needed Josh to fight just as a bleeding person needed a mender like Anastasia to rush to their aid. Their frills moved slowly as they contemplated things before suddenly halting.

Rocks to lean on, when was the last time Anastasia had someone to lean on? Not... ever really. Rici and Anastasia were close but Rici was also busy and then they just... disappeared. Ana knew their face, very well, but even it was starting to fade. They had searched everywhere for their old friend but it seems that- they had to have been dead.

Anastasia stopped their thoughts again before they could get emotional. Ana never allowed themselves the time to mourn the fact that he was likely dead and gone somewhere. But why would he had left his bow behind for Ana? Too much. "There are people that you can talk to about this that have been popping up, ya know? I stay in touch with the medical going-ons and things are... cropping up. People think therapy is for the weak but there are people that offer legitimate help for that becoming more and more common."

Anastasia just sighed softly, folding their hands in front of them as they looked forward. "No. I've been... actually learning how to become one of those professionals. A therapist, a psychiatrist maybe as well. There are people that... not all of us have minds that work like the normal person's. It's time we understood that. We also need to understand that trauma happens and it's just, ok to be hurt."

Something Anastasia didn't want to reveal so soon, but they did anyhow. But they also weren't that kind of professional yet. There was... alot to learn and between everything that was happening, from planning, scheduling and making sure the rebuilding went smoothly, to their typical scholarly pursuits and now this expansion on ways they can help heal people it... was alot.

So much so that Anastasia sometimes thought they wouldn't be able to do it but continued anyways. It was just hard cause it was alot. If it weren't for the rebuilding, things would be so much easier and once that was out of the way, well. Ana had a lot of things they could do to help this world. "We're never ready to lose people."
