Oron nodded in return. The Queen would in turn be met with the Prince. "Whatever I can aid with, I'll do it, Queen Marianne." While that arguably wasn't the most formal way to refer to Marianne now, she was still calling him 'big brother' so he didn't have to go all out on that front... Admittedly, he was arguably getting himself a lot more than he bargained for when it came to the political situation in Hyrule... Not that he expected any less from Marianne. This was what she truly excelled at if one didn't want to merely look in awe at her magical prowess. Oron sat with his back straight and his hands folded in front of him on the long table...
The Twilight Curtain was the first thing. Indeed Oron has heard about it... It's kind of difficult to not notice it in the distance despite how far away the Arbiter's Grounds are from Hyrule City. It was... Horrifying to think about. To think the original goal of reassembling the Mirror ended up with such a disastrous result... Oron's face grimaced slightly. The efforts have been good to hear about despite inevitable problems with resources, disruptions, and people being displaced by the monsters and... Shadow Beasts... Oron's sad look hid a familiar anger that still boiled inside of him regarding this whole situation... Ever since the day that started it all... Even with the smaller victories, nothing ever seemed to truly turn the tides in Hyrule's favor.
Oron just continued listening to Marianne. This was mainly her time to speak after all so there wasn't exactly much to interject on at the moment. Oron was actually surprised that the economic front has stayed pretty afloat in spite of... Everything going on. Granted, as expected, the current situation was a true test of how well that would hold up. Marianne's optimism on the topic was nice to hear at least. Good potential harvests and things have been going well in Eldin... Of course, Oron had been in that area a few months ago, but continuing good news was welcomed... He'd take anything positive at this point. Any potential issues on the economic front were minor unless something unexpected ended up happening. That was all good to hear... Oron wasn't sure if he even would have any potential disagreements with this policy of production over growth right now. He'd need to look into it further. Observe how things are going. Taxes were generally not popular, but they were always necessary in some capacity... Oron also didn't really have any disagreements on the nobility allowances... Oron would look into the further specifics that Marianne mentioned later.
Relations with the other races and some general areas were still pretty decent as expected. With such a grave threat at hand, it'd be rather foolish for everyone to start in-fighting right now... Of course, things have been going pretty well with the Gorons and Zora for some time now. The outer countries were a bit more problematic, but nothing too serious thankfully... Oron cocked an eyebrow at her tone regarding Labrynna's Crown Prince... Note to self. Do some digging... There may be some necessary action required in the future...
The military situation was about as expected as well. Issues with resources and matters of armaments, but a lot of willing people wanting to help with the war effort. Yet apparently even some of Marianne's actions here prove unpopular despite them honestly being the best she likely could do for now... Oron's lips tightened for a split second when she mentioned how Oron was almost as good as Leon at military affairs, but he kept his friendly, professional face. "... Of course. Whenever is good." Well. Isn't that quite unfortunate...? Ugh. Not now...
Oron took a calming breath as Marianne's briefing on the main situation eased up a bit. Oron did likely care more about the ot her matters than he may have let on. It was part of why he had wandered around Hyrule as much as he did. He's just been... Distracted to put it politely. Even if it was boring, Oron felt like he was going to need to truly learn how to make it more 'fun'. "... We can table those for later, but I would still appreciate hearing about the current situation on those fronts as well. Unless there is anything else you think would be good for me to hear before more... Formal business." Oron twiddled with his hands a bit. That was a lot to take in. It was all still circling around in his mind... Despite how detailed she was, Oron still felt like he needed to let it settle and read into it all more on his own time. Perhaps talk to her if he has any further questions...
Well. No matter. Oron would wait to see where Marianne would go from here.
