Another day at the outside storefront that Lena had set up front of her smithy, looking to sell the weapons she'd made. Noticeably, she had several knives on display in addition to the usual swords, shields and pieces of armor, having put the book she got from Vladimir a while ago to good use. They were already proving to be fairly popular, especially among those who made a living through hunting or as scouts who prefer to use stealth in battle. So long as they weren't being blatantly evil about it, she wasn't one to judge how others used her wares.
That said, today was proving to be a bit of a slow day. Not many people coming up, and while she did have a few of what could be considered "regulars", they'd already been by earlier in the week, so she probably wasn't going to see them for a time. Not that she was in any danger of losing business; far from it, actually. Still, some extra rupees never hurt. With all of these battles breaking out all over Hyrule lately, it was getting more difficult to gather the materials she needed to keep running. Not impossible, but still difficult.
She mostly just relied on adventurers, having them either collect the materials for her or, for something that she needed to see to personally, act as a bodyguard. But with things getting so dangerous, the latter was proving to be more difficult than usual, meaning she'd have to pay a premium for anyone who was willing to stick their necks out; needless to say, such brave souls were surprisingly few. She was going to be fine for now, but it was hard not to worry a little about the long term.
She also couldn't help but feel a little envious of her father; being at the foot of Death Mountain made it easy for him to gather the many valuable materials that could be found there alone.

True happiness only comes once in a lifetime
| Some days after The Battle Of Eldin
It had been a whirlwind couple of days for Josh. From the battle, to being on trial and potentially either being imprisoned or killed, to now being a Knight Of Hyrule. He remembered the moment he had told himself he was ready to die in that battle. That he was ready to die to save these people, and finally join his beloved in the Sacred Realm with the three and the Goddess Hylia. But this world had decided it still had need of him. His survival and knighthood were proof of that.
Of course, that meant he needed to fix up his armor. It had been pretty badly damaged during the battle. It was going to need a lot of it's material replaced. The chest plate was going to need new pieces, and the shoulders were going to need to be replaced completely. He also needed to see if he could find a tailer. The explosion had rendered the cape too damaged to just sow back together. He'd probably hang it on the wall as a memento, just as he did with his old hunting bow and boomerang.
Walking through Castle Town without his armor on felt... Strange. He figured the looks he got would stop when he ceased wearing it, but now after that stunt he pulled and the consequences that followed, he seemed to get stared at even more. He would have just gone to Solveig, but... Solveig was too busy to help him fix it up. The volcano erupting had kept the Goron Chief up and about in the days since. He wouldn't be available for a little while. So he had to hit up something in Castle Town.
Lugging the armor pieces in a pack, Josh would walk around Castle Town until he found what seemed to be a blacksmithery that he hadn't actually recalled seeing before. Was it new or had he just ignored it since he hadn't had need of it? Either way, he would make his way forward, noting the red-orange ish haired occupant.
"Hello?" The blonde would inquire as he would step toward the outside storefront. "Does this smithy happen to offer repairs? My armor was damaged pretty badly in a battle, and the materials involved make it a bit difficult to just replace outright."
Not that he wanted to or should want to. This thing protected him from a point blank detonation of his entire Bomb Bag in a matter that kept him alive long enough to be saved.

At this point, she was starting to debate on just closing up early. She made enough ruppees to break even with what resources she ended up using, so she wasn't worried about losing money. At the end of the day, closing early wouldn't hurt her in the least, and it could get pretty boring, standing out here with nothing to do. As such, it came as a bit of a relief when someone actually did approach her. Finally, something to do. At this point, she didn't even care if he turned out to be an asshole.
When she heard his request, she blinked. "Yeah...it might take a while, depending on how extensive the damage is, but I've got plenty of experience with armor repair. Though, if it's too bad, it might be easier to just scrap the whole thing and use whatever's salvageable to rebuild the whole suit from scratch. That'll at least save time if simply repairing it would be out of the question. I'll leave it up to you; just figured I'd let you know your options." She paused for a moment, eyeing the pack he was carrying.
"Is it in there? If so, feel free to place it on this counter." Meanwhile, the more she looked at the man, the more she was sure she recognized this man from somewhere; it was on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't quite put the pieces together.

| The woman would explain that it was going to take some time, depending on the extent of the damage. They may even have to replace the whole thing, depending on what was the better option. "I don't think it's beyond repair, I've had worse repaired for less cost than building a new set" Josh would admit as he would pull out the armor set and lay it down where instructed. "But it's definitely taken a damn good hit. Luckily the material is sturdy. Mined it alongside one of the Gorons on Death Mountain and had it smithed by them. Did it before the damn thing erupted, luckily. This armor saved my life. Can't say I've worn many that'd take a large explosion point blank and not be in pieces, along with not rendering me in pieces."
The armor had certainly seen better days. The cape was in scorched tatters and would need to be replaced, but while the armor was damaged heavily and would take a fair bit of work to repair, it definitely wasn't impossible. Josh wasn't sure whether she would suggest it was good enough to repair or if it'd need to be replaced, though he could admit hoping for the former seeing as it'd recently saved his goose.
Once the pack was off, he would stretch out a moment just to loosen his joints. While it wasn't the heaviest armor in the world, it certainly was no featherweight.

As he laid the armor out, she began looking it over. She'd nod in response to what he was saying, though not in a dismissive manner;s he was just that good at multitasking. "A Goron smith, eh?...well that explains the excellent quality of the armor itself. I can safely say that even my best work wouldn't be able to take a blast of this magnitude...I mean, it'd still keep you alive, but it'd definitely be reduced to a heap of scrap metal..." She couldn't help but wonder why he wouldn't just go to the Goron who forged this armor in the first place, but she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
"Let's see...yeah...I think I can fix this. The pauldrons might be FUBAR, but they should be easy to replace...afraid you're gonna have to find someone else for the cape, though. I'm no good with tailoring. But for the rest...it'll take me about a week. If you're in a hurry, I could have it done in about four days, but I can't guarantee that it'll be as durable as it was before that bomb blast. Once again, it's your call...also, if you want me to make any changes to it, now's the time to say so. I have plenty of gold dust in stock, so I shouldn't have any trouble adjusting it...so long as it's not too extreme"
While waiting for a response, she made a mental note to try and get a hold of more gold dust later on. She had a feeling she was going to need it after this repair job was over. Also, now that she was getting a good look at him, she couldn't quite shake the feeling that she recognized him from somewhere...or, at the very least, that she had overheard some people talking about someone who matched his description. Admittedly, she tended to lag a bit behind when it came to keeping up with "current events".

| Considering that said Goron was the Chief, and Death Mountain had just erupted following a monster attack on both the Mountain and the Village... Needless to say, Josh was not going to be able to call on the help of Solveig right now. That had been his first choice, considering the quality in which he'd built it. But unfortunately, that wasn't an option at present. Solveig wouldn't be available for a good long while, and Josh had maybe a week or less before assignments started filing in. That whole promotion came at probably the luckiest time. If he'd been back on shift tomorrow, he would have had to do so without his armor. Knight assignments were far harder... But the downtime in between was certainly worth it in his eyes. It allowed for training, preparation, repairs and all that one needed in-between assignments. The assignments themselves were what you'd expect the Royal Family to give to their elite warriors, but you definitely had the proper preparation time now. At least unless it was an emergency situation, such as an attack. Then you had to be prepared to help lead their armies at a moment's notice.
It looks like the pauldrons were toast, and the blacksmith would point out the obvious that the cape was also toast and she wasn't a tailor. He nodded his head in turn along with her explanation. She mentioned that she could do it in less time, but it wouldn't be as durable. "That's fine. I'd rather it be as durable as it was. I'm in no rush, and I'd rather it be as durable as it was. You never know when someone will bring out explosives, right?"
A small, cheeky grin crossed his lips toward the end, injecting a bit of humor into the topic. Though when she would suggest she could make some changes, he did take a moment to think on it. "Hmm..." He mused as he would look the armor over a moment. "Yeah, I think I can draw something up" Josh would respond. It'd likely be smaller changes, no big deal.
"And no problem about the cape, I know someone" He added. He couldn't remember the last time he'd needed to do a full repair like this. He knew a bit about armor care, and was able to do light repairs where needed. This was only his second set because of that. He'd needed to have this set built simply because his older one had been worn down with years of use, and he had been able to repair this one where needed despite the added material cost compared to the old one. Repairs of this magnitude though... This was beyond anything he could do.
With that, he would pull out a notepad and writing utensil and begin making a sketch. He knew a bit about sketching, though he certainly wasn't perfect with it. But he felt it was easier to just try and make a sketch instead of trying to word it proper. Having a reference would be easier to work with than his word, and waste less materials.
He would decide to strike up conversation while he worked.
"How long have you been working in town? I don't believe I've seen your face before" He would admit.
