Is This Awakening?

A wayward chill, frigid to the touch and harsh to the throat of any Hylian. The air was dry, thus made the air slightly difficult to breathe as tiny snowflakes flitted about, often caught upon the wind. Much of the vegetation had grown dull, often buried beneath a thin sheet of snow and darkened into a earthly tone of beige or brown. Even the sparse trees that dotted the fields had lost much of their vibrant summer hues, those once proud branches with nary a leaf. Despite the cold, it was peaceful. The roads were barren, as they should be during this season, but made the trip bearable, if one were to have bundled up in warm clothing. The hypnotic sway of the cart danced along to the rhythm of the wheels that trudged on as the canvas that shielded away the contents simply moved to the melody...
...Or that is until the cart suddenly jumped up from one wheel.
Thud!
"Ack!" A girl shook to the violent kick of the cart as she sat on the tailgate, her hands furiously rubbed the side of her head. The large metal drum beside her did not seem to budge, yet its contents within sloshed around. A voice in the front of the wagon cart sudden shouted. "Oh! I'm so sorry! We just hit a rough patch on the road!" The voice was sweet and held a sincere tone. The girl still had her hand upon the spot where she hit her head, but sheepishly smiled to no one in particular. "Tis nothing at all! No need to worry about me. Heheh."
"Oh? Are you sure you're okay, Nova?" The lovely voice rose again, "That sounded like you hit the milk drum really, really hard."
Nova scrambled around the back of the wagon, just to make sure her belongings did not spill over unto the road. "Nonono~ I'm quite alright! Just a scratch!" Of course, there wasn't a scratch at all. Just a tiny welt that was fairly hidden behind her silvery braids. Still, it was quite a wake up call, especially on a long drive such as this. Almost two days' worth of travel was accomplished, yet there was hardly a sight of civilization. Well, that wasn't entirely true. While most of the land was sparse in communities coming from outside of the borders into Hyrule Field, there were a few humble abodes placed here and there, but none she would consider a town or village. From what she had learned, much of the villages were further out, in different parts of the land, mostly belonging to their respective race such as the Goron people or Zora tribes. So, there was just as much life here as there was back home. Nova was honestly surprised people lived this far out in the world. She held the edge of the wagon cart with both hands and mindlessly kicked her feet to' and fro' as the wagon moved toward its destination, Castle Town.
"Shouldn't be long now, Nova!"
The sellsword didn't seem hear the driver's words. Instead, she simply stared off into the snowy horizon, snow-capped peaks jutted into the sky.
It won't be long.
